Courtland was the son of Vestina Dayton and Salmon Bradshaw and the grandson of Amy Stone and John Bradshaw. Courtland Bradshaw Birchard of Stone Street is his grand-nephew and is likely named for him.

There are three Marshall Balls. The photograph is believed to be the son of Vesta Bradshaw and Wellie Ball.

The homestead on Stone Street south of Cemetery. Land provided by Judson Stone to eldest daughter Amy and her husband John Bradshaw in approx. 1835 when they married. Wellington Ball married their youngest daughter, Vesta Annette Bradshaw, and they lived at the home.
